My work blends language, art, and storytelling, shaped by years of studying and living across the world. My path has taken me to five continents — teaching, translating, and learning along the way. I have published original research in linguistics as well as creative nonfiction, and am also a practicing painter. I grew up in Washington, D.C. and currently reside in Lisbon.
